Canon EOS 5D Mark III Review:

Canon EOS 5D Mark III has a 22.3 MP CMOS Full-frame sensor capable of producing a 5760 x 3840 pixel image (16.46 by 10.97 inch photographic print at 350 dpi), as well as, 1080p full HD video (30fps at 1920 x 1080).

Canon EOS 5D Mark III is a significant update of Canon's succesful Mark II full-frame DSLR targeted at professional level photographers and videographers. It has many significant improvements including a 61 point auto-focus system, and even SMPTE time-code for multi-camera video shoots.

It handles the full complement of Canon EF lenses (excluding EF-S Lenses), so photo results are sharp and usually perfectly exposed. But, it's the pro video featuers of the Mark III that justify it's 'pricey' cost.

If your deal is video, you should know the 5D Mark III has MANY on-board video improvements, including excellent low-light image processing.

If you need high-quality stereo source audio, you should consider an external shotgun microphone, like the Nikon ME-1 shotgun mic -- it sounds great!
