Lumix GH5 II Review:

The Lumix GH5 II has a 20.0 megapixel 4/3 (17.3 x 13 mm) CMOS Sensor capable of producing a 5184 x 3888 pixel image (roughly 15 by 10 inch photographic print at 350 dpi), as well as, 4K 60p full HD video with an astonishing 10-bit color depth.

The Lumix GH5 II is a new take on the tried and true original that boasts new video features, a new coating on its 20MP sensor to reduce things like light flares and artifact ghosting, as well as improved autofocus system, that unfortunately, is still lacking when compared to some of it's competitors. It also has improved upon it's two Cinelike LUT profiles and the V-Log L gamut profile is built right into the camera's software, and if that isn't enough, any number of LUTs based on VariCam color profiles can be downloaded and installed.

If your deal is video, you should know the the GH5 II is capable of capturing 10-bit 4:2:0 4K/60p footage and outputting 10-bit 4:2:2 to an external recorder simultaneously, which if you're a professional videographer, you'll understand why this is such a nessecery feature these days. The GH5 II also supports anamorphic aspect ratios as well as a dedicated 'Slow-mo' setting which can capture Full-HD 1080p at 120 fps, however this mode only allows for 8-bit color depth.

Finally, one of the newest and most sought after features of this new camera, is it's ability to live-stream video over YouTube at up to 1080/60p via a smartphone connection. This makes it easier than ever for content creators to live stream in cinematic quality with the push of a single button.
