The Nikon D600 is the flagship of the next-generation, full-frame digital SLRs from Nikon.
The D600 boasts a 24.3 MP CMOS FX format sensor capable of producing a 6,016 x 4,016 pixel image (11.47 by 17.19 inch photographic print at 350 dpi), as well as, true HD video (30fps at 1920 x 1080).
Notably, the D600 now has much better audio recording capablilties with easy to understand on-screen audio meters. We would highly recommend Nikon's optional ME-1 stereo mini shotgun microphone that delivers great fidelty, and fits snugly in the hot shoe.
